I have been drawing animals for as long as I can remember and having tried many media, I have finally found the one I like the best - coloured pencils.
I use, in my opinion, the best quality products such as Polychromos, Caran D'ache Luminance/Dablo and Derwent Lighfast pencils and Clairefontaine pastelmat paper.

Capturing the spirit
I ask for a few photos of the animal and also a brief description of them so I can get an inkling of what their character is so I can hopefully replicate this within the picture.
